WAS SAINT PAUL A FALSE APOSTLE ?

Though most Christians swear Paul was a genuine apostle of Jesus, despite the fact that he never met Jesus during his lifetime, let’s see if what Jesus and what Paul taught match up line in these 10 brief examples (remember, I have many more), using the following criterion:

● “Beloved, BELIEVE NOT EVERY spirit, but try (TEST) THE SPIRITS WHETHER THEY ARE OF GOD: because many FALSE PROPHETS are gone out into the world.” - 1 John 4:1

● “For there shall arise FALSE CHRISTS, and FALSE PROPHETS, and shall shew GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS; INSOMUCH THAT, if [it were] possible, THEY SHALL DECEIVE THE VERY ELECT.” – Matthew 24:24

● “Every TREE therefore which bringeth not forth good FRUIT is hewn down, and cast into The Fire. For a good TREE bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt TREE bring forth good fruit. For every TREE is known BY his own fruit.” - Luke 6:42-44.

For, as Jesus said:

● “NOT EVERYONE WHO SAID TO ME, `LORD, LORD,' SHALL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, but he who does the will of my RABB (Lord, Cherisher, Sustainer) who is in Heaven. ON THAT DAY, MANY WILL SAY TO ME, `LORD, LORD, DID WE NOT PROPHESY IN YOUR NAME, and CAST OUT DEMONS in your name, AND DO MIGHTY WORKS IN YOUR NAME?' And THEN WILL I DECLARE TO THEM: `I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, YOU EVILDOERS.” - Matthew 7:21-23

Let’s compare what Jesus says to what Paul says on different issues and let’s see if they represent the “same Spirit”:

1. ON THE COMMANDMENTS AND THE LAW:

Jesus said:

● Matthew 19:17

“And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? THERE IS NONE GOOD BUT one, that is, GOD: but if thou wilt enter into (eternal) life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.”

● Matthew 5: 17-19

“THINK NOT THAT I HAVE COME TO CHANGE THE LAW, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. WHOSEVER therefore SHALL BREAK one of these LEAST COMMANDMENTS, and shall teach men so, he SHALL BE called the LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

But PAUL said:

● Romans 10:4

“For Christ is THE END OF THE LAW, that everyone who has faith may be justified.”

● Romans 7:9-10

“I was once alive apart from the law, but WHEN THE COMMANDMENT CAME, SIN REVIVED AND I DIES; The very commandment which promised life proved to be death to me.”

● Romans 4:15

“Because THE LAW WORKETH WRATH; for where no Law is, there is no transgression.”

2. On the cost of eternal life:

JESUS said:

● St. John.5:24

“Truly, truly, I say to you, HE WHO HEARS MY WORD AND BELIEVES HIM WHO SENT me, has eternal life; he does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

● Matthew19:29

“And EVERY ONE WHO HAS LEFT HOUSES OR BROTHERS OR SISTERS or father or mother or children or lands, FOR MY NAME'S SAKE, will receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.”

● Luke.14:28,33

“For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and COUNT THE COST, whether he has enough to complete it?”

“So therefore, whoever of you does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple.”

But PAUL said:

● Romans 6:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but THE FREE GIFT OF GOD is eternal life in Christ JESUS our Lord.”

3. Who should the message be spread to?

● JESUS said:

Matthew 10:5-6 “Go NOT into the WAY OF THE GENTILES, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not; but go rather to the LOST SHEEP of the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL.”

● Matthew 18:11

“For the Son of Man is come to save that which is LOST.”

● Matthew 1:21

“And (Mary) shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for HE SHALL COME TO SAVE HIS PEOPLE from sins.

● Matthew 7:6

“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the SWINE.”

But PAUL said:

● Romans 11:13

“For I SPEAK TO you GENTILES, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles.”

4. On circumcision:

JESUS’ birth:

● Luke 2:21

“And when 8 days were accomplished for the CIRCUMCISING FOR the child, his name was called JESUS.”

But PAUL said:

● Galatians 5:2-4

“Behold, I But PAUL say unto you, that IF YE BE CIRCUMCISED, CHRIST SHALL PROFIT YOU NOTHING. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to the whole law.”

5. On baptism:

JESUS said:

● Matthew 3:13,16

[13] “Then cometh JESUS from Galilee to Jordan unto Jon, to be baptized of him. [16] “And JESUS, when he WAS BAPTIZED went straightway out of the water: and, lo, the Heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting upon him.”

But PAUL said:

● 1 Corinthians 1:17

“For Christ JESUS SENT ME NOT TO BAPTIZE, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”

6. On the sum of the commandments:

JESUS said:

● Mark 12:28-31

“Hear, O Israel; THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD . . . and the second is like, namely this: Thou shalt LOVE THY NEIGHBOR as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This [is] the first commandment.

And a second [is] like it, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as yourself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

● Matthew 22:37-40

On THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS depend ALL THE LAW and the PROPHETS.

But PAUL said:

● Romans 13:9

The commandments, "YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT KILL, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT COVET," and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

7. On the basis of judgment:

JESUS said:

● St. John12:48

“He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; THE WORD THAT I HAVE SPOKEN will be his judge on the last day.”

But PAUL said:

● Romans 2:12

“All who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be JUDGED BY THE LAW.”

8. On forgiveness of trespasses:

JESUS said:

● Matthew 6:14-15

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you;

but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”

But PAUL said:

● Ephesians 1:7

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.”

● Romans 4:25

“who was put to death for our trespasses and raised for our justification.”

● Romans 3:9,10,22,23

[9] What then? Are we Jews any better off? No, not at all; for I have already charged that all men, both Jews and Greeks, are under the power of sin,

[10] as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one;

[22] For there is no distinction;

[23] since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

9. Who should you put your faith in:

JESUS said:

● Matthew 6:6

“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray to the (Creator, Lord; Nourisher, Sustainer) (often mistranslated as “Father”) . . . “

● Matthew 6:9

“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father (i.e. Creator) Which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name.”

● St. John 5:30-31

“Of myself, I can do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just because I seek not my own will, but the will of the (Creator) which hath sent me. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.”

But PAUL said:

● Romans 10:9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10. On whose pleasure you should seek:

JESUS said:

● Luke 16:15

“But he said to them, You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts; for what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.”

● Luke 6:26

“WOE TO YOU, WHEN ALL MEN SPEAK WELL OF YOU, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.”

But PAUL said:

● 2 Corinthians 8:21

“For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord's sight but also IN THE SIGHT OF MEN.”

● Romans 12:17

“Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all men.”

● Romans 14:18

“He who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.”

● 1 Corinthians 10:33

“Just as I try to please all men in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved.”
