 The Bible records several instances of people being raised from the dead before Jesus' own resurrection. Here are the key examples:


1. Elijah Raises the Widow’s Son (1 Kings 17:17-24)**  

   - Elijah prayed to God, and the son of a widow in Zarephath was revived.


2. **Elisha Raises the Shunammite Woman’s Son (2 Kings 4:32-37)**  

   - Elisha lay upon the dead child and prayed, and the boy came back to life.


3. **A Dead Man Revived by Touching Elisha’s Bones (2 Kings 13:20-21)**  

   - A man was thrown into Elisha’s tomb, and when his body touched Elisha’s bones, he miraculously revived.


4. **Jesus Raised Three People During His Ministry**  

   Though these occurred *before* Jesus' own resurrection, they happened during His earthly ministry:  

  Jairus’ Daughter (Mark 5:35-43)** – Jesus said she was "sleeping" and raised her.  

   - **The Widow’s Son at Nain (Luke 7:11-17)** – Jesus stopped a funeral procession and raised the young man.  

   - **Lazarus (John 11:38-44)** – Jesus raised Lazarus after he had been dead four days.
